Sometimes small business starters feel overwhelmed by the array of marketing, advertising, and communications opportunities they face. Which one is the right one? At the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of McLean County at Illinois Wesleyan University, we’ve helped many entrepreneurs solidify their brand and make some sense of their marketing options.
Janell Mosbach has been a massage therapist for more than a dozen years. To grow here clientele and to help other therapists succeed, she has established Muscle Talk at 2401 East Washington Street, Suite 300B.
Janell shares she wants the build a business that makes people feel welcome and relaxed. While she has strong skills and knowledge in the massage field, she came to the SBDC to request assistance with all of the steps of what it takes to start and run her business on her own. “Marketing has been the main challenge for me, because of all the different ways to reach out to my target audience,” she says. “SBDC can help me accomplish capturing that audience.”
Janell hopes, beyond massages to help clients discover their best self in a safe and trusted environment. “Muscle Talk can give people their lives back. Helping people in pain creates an overall balance of their health and wellness, which in return will care over to the community.”
